My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
– 1 John 3:18

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

Loving one another is not spoken words but in deed and in truth. It’s not just embodied that we send the clothes and food to those who have insufficient clothes and food, but support each other in spirit. When brothers and sisters are weak, we help and sustain them so that they have faith in God. Also, we treat them fairly, don’t look down on or disparage them. In this way, what we do is in line with the Lord’s will.

Share a passage of God’s words, “This way, these relationships aren’t established on the flesh, but on the foundation of God’s love. There are almost no interactions based on the flesh, but in the spirit there is fellowship as well as love, comfort, and provision for one another. This is all done on the foundation of a heart that satisfies God. These relationships aren’t maintained by relying on a human philosophy of life, but they are formed very naturally through the burden for God. They don’t require human effort—they are practiced through the principles of the word of God.” From God’s words, we can see that God hopes that our love among brothers and sisters is established on the foundation of God’s love, and that we can treat them in accordance with the principles of God’s word.
