May3, 2018 – Matthew 10:23

But when they persecute you in this city, flee you into another: for truly I say to you, You shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

– Matthew 10:23

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

This verses is the Lord Jesus’ promise and comfort to His disciples: The day of the Lord is near, so even if there’s persecution, we should not give up spreading the gospel. Now this verse also goes for us. It’s the late period of the last days, many brothers and sisters suffer hardships and difficulties such as families’ opposition, relatives’ slander, and so on. At this moment, it needs our faith, just as God’s words saying, “Now is a crucial moment. Be sure not to be disheartened or discouraged. You must look forward in everything and not turn back…. So long as one breath remains to you, persevere to the very end; only this will be worthy of praise.” The Lord is faithful and each and every word of the Lord shall come to pass. So, we should persist to the end no matter how great difficulties we meet. Meanwhile, when someone preaches the gospel of the Lord’s second coming to us, we should not keep upholding ourselves, but seek and study it immediately so that we can welcome the second coming of the Lord.
