Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
– Matthew 20:28
Thoughts on Today’s Verse…
We can see the Lord Jesus’ humbleness in this verse. Although the Lord Jesus is supreme, He not only became flesh as an ordinary man to live among man, healing the sick and casting out demons, washing feet for disciples, and so on. He came not to be ministered to, but to minister, and even sacrificed His life to redeem us from sin.
The Lord Jesus is an exemplar for us to emulate. In our work, we should be humble and obedient, pay no attention to status but focus on reality and our entry into life, and testify God through what you live out and minister to man. This is the Lord’s will.
Share a passage of God’s words: “Work refers not to running to and fro for God; it refers to whether the life of man and what man lives out are for God to enjoy. Work refers to man using faithfulness they have to God and the knowledge they have of God to testify to God and minister to man. This is the responsibility of man and what all man should realize.”
