Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

We are willing to be great to govern others among people, but we can tell it’s not in line with the Lord’s will from His words to disciples. The Lord requires leaders and disciples to be others’ servants and take the responsibility to shepherd the church, and serve them in their spiritual life and always care about their lives instead of power and status. In addition, we should know there’s no distinction in terms of status in the church, but their gifts and function bestowed by God differ, and all we do should face God. Just as it is recorded in 1 Peter 4:10, “As every man has received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” Amen! May we all always examine our motivation in our work, whether we do things for power, status, or out of our love for people and God.
