You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you: because he trusts in you.
– Isaiah 26:3
Thoughts on Today’s Bible Verse:
God created mankind and has been silently leading and supplying us. God entrusts every one of us with His hope. He hopes that we humans can know Him, submit to Him, worship Him, and enjoy His blessings and supply forever. However, after Satan corrupted us, we humans stray from God, rebel against God. Thus, we have no knowledge of God and no longer rely on Him. We always do things relying on our own hands and ability. The more we act this way, the less we feel God’s existence and His great power. Nor can we feel how God leads every day of our life. Our relationship with God becomes more and more distant. Without God’s guidance and leadership, we rely on our ability to do things. Even though we succeed in something, we feel empty and pained. There is no peace or joy in our hearts. This verse conveys the will of God to us. As long as we rely on God in all things, He will guide us, give us the wisdom and strength to face everything we encounter. In this way, we can live under God’s care and protection. Our hearts are at peace and reassured, our spirits are consoled.
God says, “You must be proactive in cooperating with Me; be diligent and never lazy. Always be in fellowship with Me and have deeper intimacy with Me. If you do not understand, do not be impatient for quick results. It’s not that I won’t tell you; I want to see if you rely on Me when you are in My presence and whether you depend on Me with confidence. You must always remain close to Me and place all matters in My hands. Do not go back in vain. After unknowingly being close to Me for a period of time, My intentions shall be revealed to you. If you grasp them, then you will truly be face-to-face with Me, and you will have truly found My face. You will be quite clear and steady within and you will have something to rely on, and you will also have power as well as confidence. You will also have a path forward and everything will come easy to you.”
From God’s words, we can see that no matter whether things we do are big or small, as long as we rely on God, He will help us and give us strength and wisdom and faith to make it. For example, David defeated the Philistine by relying on Jehovah God, not by himself; Solomon became the king of wisdom because God gave him the wisdom to govern Israel. From this, we can see that God’s wisdom and almightiness are inexhaustible and everywhere. If we learn to rely on God in everything in our daily life, not only can we gain God-given wisdom to do things better, we can also see His wondrous deeds in our experience and develop true faith in Him. The more knowledge of God’s deeds and authority we have, the greater our faith in Him will be. Then we will be able to make up our mind to rely on God and follow Him in any circumstances, and forever enjoy the peace and joy that comes along with being with God.
