December 1, 2018—Isaiah 46:11

yes, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
– Isaiah 46:11

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

From this verse, I can feel the authority and power of God’s words. God’s words are the expression of His authority. As soon as He has spoken His words, the things have already been accomplished. This cannot be attained by any creation. We have seen God’s authority from the Bible. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth and everything in them with the word. All things came into being and stood fast and existed because of the authority of God’s words. After the flood, God established the covenant of the rainbow with man, which has unchanged right up until today. God blessed Abraham, and made his progeny as numerous as the stars of heaven, and as plentiful as the sand on the seashore. What’s more, God plans to save mankind and defeat Satan, no matter how Satan corrupts mankind, God will achieve His plan by His words and bring mankind at last to their final beautiful destination. All of these are the display of God’s authority. Heaven and earth shall pass away but God’s words shall not pass away. God says, “The authority of the Creator is not altered by changes in any factor, and, similarly, the principles by which His authority is exerted do not alter for any reason. Heaven and earth may undergo great upheavals, but the authority of the Creator will not change; all things may vanish, but the authority of the Creator will never disappear. This is the substance of the Creator’s immutable and unoffendable authority, and this is the very uniqueness of the Creator!
