A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.

– Matthew12:35

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

Those who’re kind-hearted will do good deeds, while those who’re malicious will do evil things. Man’s outward behavior is decided by his internal disposition. In God’s eyes, whether a person is good or bad, is determined by whether he has a change in disposition, rather than his outward behavior. For example, we don’t argue or quarrel with others and can get along well with them, even we can returns lost money and are willing to help others, these external changes cannot be said to be changes in disposition, but just outward changes. What does a transformation of disposition truly refer to? God’s words say, “A change in disposition doesn’t refer to changing external behaviors or practice, or changing rules, and that a change in disposition isn’t a personality change, so then what is it? Have you thought about that? First we must be clear, we must understand that when God has us change our dispositions, change some things, it’s not cultural, it’s not knowledge-based, and it’s not a change in some objective thoughts. Rather, God wants to change every person’s ideological views through His words—this is one aspect of it. Another aspect is the principles behind how we conduct ourselves. The principles behind how you conduct yourself is your outlook on life. And there is one more aspect—it is the deep-seated corrupt satanic nature that people reveal. Generally speaking, a change in disposition has these three aspects.” God’s words tell us that God’s measure of whether man’s disposition has changed is based on man’s ideological views, the principles of how to conduct themselves and man’s corrupt disposition. Therefore, we should measure whether our disposition has changed according to these three aspects. This is the correct path.
