For whoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

– Matthew 12:50

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

From the Lord Jesus’ words, we can see that the Lord Jesus doesn’t have special emotion for the fleshly parents, and brothers and sisters. But He takes those who do the will of the Father as His family. He does not treat people according to their identities. Whatever identities they are, He helps and answers them, as long as they come to seek Him. Whether people rich or poor, great or small, He loves them as long as they seek the truth. Whatever statuses they are, fisherman, tax collector, or official, He treats them as brothers. We should follow the example of the Lord Jesus in treating others. That is to say, we should take those who truly believe in God as our own brothers and sisters. When they are negative and weak, we should give our best to help and support them, so that we could manifest and glorify God.
