But he that received seed into the good ground is he that hears the word, and understands it; which also bears fruit, and brings forth, some an hundred times, some sixty, some thirty.
– Matthew 13:23
Thoughts on Today’s Verse…
God is righteous. He has given the truth to mankind without asking for anything in return, and devoted all His efforts to every individual. God has expectations for everyone. But how much truth we can get lies in our pursuit. Reading God’s word in the same way, some people put sixty percent of God’s word into practice, and some people could only practice thirty percent of God’s word. The amount of truth people practiced differs, and in the end the fruit borne in each is definitely not the same. Just as God’s words said, “The higher the object of your pursuit is, the more possible it will be for you to be perfected. The more you pursue the truth, the more the Holy Spirit will work. The greater energy you have for pursuit, the more you will gain. The Holy Spirit perfects people based on their internal state.” From God’s words, we can see that the more we pursue the truth, the more the Holy Spirit will work on us, enlightening and guiding us. And in the end, the more truth we will gain, the deeper our knowledge of God will be, and the more we can gain God’s praise.
