For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end;

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…
There are two kinds of people recorded in the Bible: one kind are those who receive God’s blessings by faith, the other kind are those who lose faith, and are condemned and eliminated by God. God is faithful, and His promises will never fail. Take God’s blessing of Abraham, God promised to give him a son, thus his wife still gave birth to Isaac even though she was past her childbearing age. So we should have true faith in God at any time. When Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, the Israelites saw God’s many deeds in the wilderness, such as parting the Red Sea, raining manna from heaven and so on. But they still didn’t have true faith in God. So, they kept complaining to God when they were passing by the wilderness. In the end, they died in the wilderness, and only women and children entered the good land of Canaan. When the Lord Jesus Christ was doing His work, though Thomas experienced many miracles performed by the Lord Jesus such as calming the wind and sea, resurrecting the dead and so on. But when he heard that the Lord Jesus resurrected from the dead, he didn’t believe it, but said not until he saw the Lord’s nail marks would he believe it. At last, the Lord Jesus said: “Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” From this we can see that not all believers in God can gain God’s blessings. Only those who possess true faith can bear God’s blessings. If we can have true faith in God and keep holding on to it, how can’t we receive God’s blessings?
My Prayer…
Oh God, my faith is too small and after a while I lose faith when encountering difficulties. May You guide and enlighten me, give me true faith and strength, so that I can see Your wisdom and have true faith in You. Amen!
God’s authority and sovereignty cannot be replaced by any created being. Only God can rule over all things and is the support in my heart. You might be interested in this article: Don’t Panic!
